Alfa Builders is the Successful Bidder on the Marbury High School Football Stadium
Bids were submitted on Tuesday, March 23rd for the Marbury High School Football Stadium located in north Autauga County, Alabama. Alfa Builders had the best competitive price out of the 9 GC bidders that submitted a proposal.
Currently, the architect is working through budgetary analysis of the proposal and additional value engineering options to ensure the project falls within the parameters of the county. Once this exercise is complete, award of the project should be made.
Construction should begin within the next 30 days pending final receipt of a construction contract.
A complete list of subcontractors and suppliers had to be submitted to the architect within 24 hours of the bid. If your company submitted pricing to Lee Waid on that project and you would like to know if you were competitive, please give him a call or send an email.
Alfa Builders is the Successful Bidder on Training Facility!
After all bids were submitted on March 12th, Alfa Builders had the best price out of 7 bidders.
The new Structural Training Facility and Education Center for the Alabama Department of Agriculture project should begin construction in the next 30 to 60 days pending receipt of the construction contract.
Once construction begins, the duration of the project will be roughly 3.5 months.

Upcoming Bid on A New Organic Grocery in Montgomery, Alabama
In the first quarter of 2010, we will be on a select bidder list for a new 30,000 SF organic grocery store in Montgomery, Alabama.
Construction should start in late winter or early spring of 2010 and the proposed completion for the store will be late fall of 2010.

Renovation of the Historic Dr. David Abernathy House is Complete
We are pleased to announce that we finished the renovations to this historic residence on Thursday, November 18th.
The City of Montgomery is in the process of completing their inspections to issue a Certificate of Occupancy. Once this is obtained, the Alabama State University will have access to this facility. It is intended to be used as a tourist attraction for those who are visiting this area and have an interest in historic civil rights destinations.
Hiring Subcontractors and Suppliers to Stay Competitive
If you have been in the construction business in the same location for very long, it is easy to start a pattern of using the same subs and suppliers on a repetitive basis. It is an easy and safe thing to do because we get comfortable with their prices and their quality of work.

The Park at Homeplace is 100% Operational!!
As of November 3rd, the construction team of Alfa Builders and Multicon Construction have completed all interior punch list items for the Park at Homeplace multi-family project.
