Our masonry installation crew began the installation of these exterior finish materials today.

Once the installation of these items is complete, the field crews will be able to wrap up the grading operations and give the new addition a more finished appearance.

Donnie Richards, construction supervisor for Alfa Builders, Inc., will continue to expedite the construction schedule in order to reach substantial completion of this project this summer.

The new building will become part of the elementary school wing and will contain a new library, art room, and four new classrooms.  It will be a welcome addition to Trinity Presbyterian School and will allow them to continue their strong tradition of academic excellence.  Trinity is located at 1700 East Trinity Boulevard in Montgomery, Alabama.

Lee Waid, field supervisor for Alfa Builders, Inc., and David Mullin, project architect for DLM Architects, Inc., worked together to expedite the metal building shop drawings submitted by OSI Building Systems.

This effort by Lee and David allowed the building structure to go into production quickly and to be delivered to the jobsite in the shortest amount of time.  Thank you to these two men for their efforts on the project!

The new health center is owned by Health Services Inc. and will be substantially complete in June of this year.

Eclectic Family Health Center is located at 26 Main Street in Eclectic, Alabama.

This location will be at Sturbridge Shopping Center in Montgomery, Alabama.

The field crews worked hard to prepare the building pad for the pour even though we had quite a bit of rain last night.

The work at this project site was able to commence in late February after several utility lines were relocated.

With a later than anticipated start date, the crews at the site have had to focus on efficiency.

They are are making every effort possible to maintain an aggressive construction pace in order to have the facility turned over to ownership (Health Services, Inc.) in June.

With today’s slab pour, we are well on our way to achieving our goals for the project!

It was a tough winter with plenty of wet weather that unfortunately slowed field production.

However, the recent sunshine and dry conditions have allowed for some significant progress in recent weeks.

The CMU walls for the first floor are currently being installed and the steel structure for the second floor will soon follow.

With the first floor foundation work behind us, the field crews will be able to increase productivity with the goal of topping out the structure in March.

The Trinity Presbyterian School is located at 1700 East Trinity Boulevard in Montgomery, Alabama.

The field crews have done an excellent job meeting scheduling milestones to keep the project on pace to finish this summer as desired.

In early January, the clubhouse reached the point of being dried in so that interior trades could begin their work. 

The clubhouse as well as the first apartment building are expected to be ready for occupancy in April.  The Crossings of Opelika is a luxury apartment home community located near the intersection of Fox Run Parkway and McCoy Road in Opelika, Alabama.

Alfa Builders recently finished out some tenant space for use by Ann Docarmo and her staff.

Ann is very excited to be in her new location on Taylor Road which has increased the visibility for her business and will hopefully continue to allow her to grow with the services she offers her clients.

Alfa Builders wants to take this opportunity to wish Ann and her staff all the best as they begin operations in this new location!

This project is being developed by Fox Run Apartment Homes, LLC.  The owner’s construction consultant is Homecorp, LLC.

The construction team is a partnership between Alfa Builders, Inc. and Multicon Construction, LLC.

Representatives of Trinity Presbyterian School, Goodwyn Mills & Cawood, and Alfa Builders

On September 24th, Trinity Presbyterian School held the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of the classroom addition onto the Lower School.

After a few brief comments, various school officials and administrators as well as representatives of Goodwyn Mills & Cawood and Alfa Builders took part in shoveling sand to mark the official start of the project.

The project is scheduled for completion by end of June 2011.

Initially, the work will involve the relocation of the playground equipment for the elementary school.

Once that is done, then the excavation for the new building can begin.

The new structure will house 4 new classrooms, an elementary school library, as well as an art room.

Trinity’s headmaster, Bob Neu, says he is excited to see the construction underway and is looking forward to witnessing the progress as the weeks and months go along.

The new building will allow the elementary school to discontinue use of some existing portable classrooms and will give them some new space for future growth as well.
