2 Ways to Stand Out Among Your Peers in Today’s Construction Climate

Standing out as a more qualified contractor in the construction industryWe all know how competitive the construction industry is these days.  Every general contractor needs more on their books to keep their doors open.

The result is that construction companies are chasing leads that they would have never considered when the economy was good.

On top of that, they are much more willing to travel to other cities or states to get an opportunity on a project.

This is certainly true in the Central Alabama area as well as the southeastern United States where we do business.

So how can the good guys differentiate themselves so that potential clients can tell who they can trust when 20 contractors are knocking at their door?  Here are two ways to put your company out in front of the pack. Read the rest of this entry »

Eden Pointe Apartments – Documents Have Been Submitted for Permitting

Escambia County is in the process of reviewing the plans, specifications, and other documents for permitting on the Eden Pointe Apartments in Pensacola, Florida.  We want to be ready to begin construction as quickly as possible once the owner closes on the financing.

That being said, we have had to lock down our concrete foundation subcontractor as well as wood truss provider because we have to submit these shop drawings with the documents for permitting.

So if you are reading this post and were interested in either of those building systems, please make note that they have already been awarded.  No additional contracts or purchase orders will be awarded until after the formal closing date.

The plan review process is well underway, and we are hopeful that it will be completed within the week.  Ideally, the closing would occur by April 9th.
